The league decides to go to a "School yard" team selection. Meaning the captains will pick teams before every game, giving the league enough players and keeping the league fair

The captains are named to be Sean Haley, Brian Haley, and Blake Schumacher

The first official Ohio Wiffleball League game is played in Brunswick Ohio

- Sean Haley named OWL's first Most Valuable Player

Team Sean ends the season with a perfect 8-0 record and gets a free ticket to the World Series

Team Blake beats Team Brian in the semi-finals, two games to one, and earns a ticket against Team Sean in the World Series

Team Blake sweeps Team Sean in the World Series, becoming the leagues first World Champions

Cole Mayak wins World Series MVP

Team Brian is officially renamed to the Sluggers

Team Sean is officially renamed to the Virus

Team Blake is officially renamed to the Liberators

Fireballs are announced as the leagues first expansion team

season expands from eight games per team to 16 games per team

American League and National League are set in place

Second season gets underway with Liberators playing the Sluggers

- First league Home Run Derby is held. Blake Schumacher beats Brian Haley in the finals
- First OWL All-Star Game is held. American League mercy-rules the National League, giving them home field advantage in the World series
- Fireballs get first win in franchise history against the Virus
- August
- Zach Eshbaugh and Brian Haley are named the leagues MVP's of their respected conferences
- The Virus sweep the Sluggers, three games to zero, to become the leagues second World Champions. Blake Schumacher is the World Series MVP
- September
- The Hawks are announced as the new team in the OWL, led by Shawn Sobczyk
- The Aztecs are announced into the league, being run by Gianni Ciora
- Season expands from 16 games per team to 18 games per team
- The Destroyers are announced as the newest member of the OWL, under direction of Ben Bales

The Pharaohs are added as the eighth team, to even out the playing field in the conferences
